Grand Theft Idiots IV

GTA IVNow that I finally have a PC which can handle today's PC games (besides the broken Corsair Force 3 SSD which I'll have to send back for a refund), I thought that checking out Grand Theft Auto IV might be a good idea.

Guess what. I was wrong. Hell, this game has bugs that really piss you off.

Mission:

Follow a drug dealer's car.

Problem:

That "artificial dumbness"-driven idiot kills a biker on the way and get's stuck on the street. Great. Neither ambulance nor police show up and I'm stuck in a mission. The only way to end it is to get too near to the dealer's car so the mission fails and he escapes. Of course, the little dumbass doesn't care for the dead biker and his vehicle on the street anymore and just drives right over it. Too late.

This is just one of many examples how bad the traffic system is.

Another example:

AI drivers wait about 5 seconds when something like a red traffic light is blocking traffic, then they just open a second lane, no matter what's in the way, causing deadly accidents and traffic jams across 8 blocks.

I guess the dumbness of the AI in GTA IV can be measured in "deadly accidents per second".

How am I supposed to finish missions and progress in the games storyline as long as every third mission fails due to horrible glitches and artificial dumbness?

I'm giving up for now. Computer games should be fun. This one is annoying.

Smart Blog Post

It's been a while since my last post, so I'll just write a quick update what's been going on and announce what might appear on here in the near future.

I finished my move to Cologne, got a new job, an affordable place to live and therefore more money to spend. This means I now finally have one of these smartphones everyone seems to be running around with today.

And this means that I have plenty of Android apps to share with my fellow readers (if any) and this is what I'll do once I got a new credit card.

Update: I got my credit card and started feeding the recommendations section. Visity my profile on AppBrain if you want to see the full list of apps which are currently installed on my phone.
